Supporting Child Feeding and Nutrition Initiatives with Samaritan's Purse
2025 Change for Children grant funds for Samaritan’s Purse went to support two key initiatives:
1) Emergency food airlifts to Gaza- 48 tons have been delivered to date, with 100 metric tons still to be delivered of ready-to-use supplemental food.
2) Treating Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in Liberia: One in three children under the age of five in Liberia is stunted as a result of SAM, so Samaritan’s Purse is purchasing and transporting ready-to-use therapeutic food supplements for the ELWA mission hospital’s malnutrition program to reduce malnutrition rates and child mortality rates.
